From its home at the Bath & West Showground in the heart of Somerset, the Royal Bath and West of England Society realises their charitable objectives for the encouragement of agriculture, arts manufacture, and commerce through an array of activities, projects and events; the highest profile of which is the Royal Bath & West Show.

Set up in 1777, the Society is the country’s oldest Agricultural Charity with a remit to award grants and scholarships for the promotion of agriculture and rural crafts. This manifests through programmes such as The Prince of Wales Award, Environmental Youth Awards, Art Scholarship and Long Service Awards.

The charity supports an array of causes from their Field to Food Learning Day, an annual event which informs and educating young consumers about where their food comes from, to grants and scholarships aimed at making agricultural education accessible for all.
